Animal adoption

Did you know that approximately 6.5 million companion animals enter the animal shelters every year?Meaning 3.3 million of these animals are dogs while 3.2 million are cats. With the amount of animals that enter the shelter rapidly increasing, this results in overcrowding, small spaces, and also animals being euthanized. Each year the US shleters euthanize about 1.5 million shelter animals. However in 2011,the amount of shelter animals being euthanized has declined which can be explained by the increasing rise of animals being adopted and also stray animals being returned to their owners.Adoption is great alternative to buying pets and is more humane as these pets deserve better lives. The animals that are sold to consumers are often are raised inhumanely as they are from puppy mills, research labs, and also factory farms.Animal adoption on the other hand no only saves a life, but it also opens up spaces for animals tthat are in desperates needs of a place to live.Animal shelters often time are overflowed with healthy pets simply trusting that somebody will take them home. Most of these pets ended up there due to a human issue like a move or a separation. Some other reasons to adopt pets include its cost. It is cheaper due to the fact that things such as vaccinations are already taken care of and included in the adoption fee. The overburdened shelter takes in a huge number of stray, manhandled, and lost creatures consistently, and by embracing a creature, you're preparing for other people. In addition to the fact that you are giving more animals chances to live, the expense of the adoption fee also pays it forward for the shelters and the future pets they take in. At the end of the day,the better alternative to getting that furry animal is adoption from your local animal shelter! ;)
